Hello I am Auntie Sara, I am the EAL Co-ordinator (English Additional Language). I have been working at Rainbow pre-school since 2022. I work at Rainbow Preschool as a preschool practitioner, where I support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing through play-based activities that meet their individual needs. In my role as an ENCO for EAL, I help children who are learning English as an additional language by creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where they feel safe and confident to communicate. I use visual aids, gestures, songs, and simple language; work closely with families to understand each child’s background; and adapt activities to support language and social development. I also observe and track children’s progress, plan targeted support, and work closely with colleagues to ensure every child can fully take part and thrive.
